The Most Charismatic Bald Video Game Heroes

April 15 is a funny holiday — Bald Men's Day. In honor of this event, we decided to remember the most colorful video game heroes who have no hair or a noticeable bald spot on their heads.

Agent 47 from the Hitman series

Developers from IO Interactive made Forty-Seventh bald due to the limitations of the Codename 47 engine. As a result, with the exception of eyebrows, there is not a single hair on Agent 47's body. Among the fan theories, there is an assumption that this is due to his origin, because we have an artificially created person in front of us. But in Hitman: Blood Money there were other clone killers — Mark Parzezzi and Mark Puraya. They had full-fledged hairstyles.

Trevor Phillips from GTA 5

We learned about the appearance of the heroes of the fifth Grand Theft Auto before the release. At that time, some fans said that they did not want to play as a "balding forty-year-old man." But when GTA 5 appeared on store shelves, their opinion changed — many called Trevor their favorite character. He can be called an evil and cruel madman, because he easily loses his temper for no reason and kills random people without a doubt. At the same time, he has a sense of compassion and a desire to help his loved ones.

Riddick from Chronicles of Riddick

In 2009, a direct sequel to Escape from Butcher Bay was released under the name Assault on Dark Athena. But it turned out to be noticeably worse than the first part

Formally, Riddick can be classified as a movie hero. However, the game Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay turned out to be better than any film with his participation. It combined stealth, first-person melee combat, and a full-fledged shooter. In addition, the Starbreeze Studios project perfectly revealed the image of the protagonist. His appearance and voice were given to him by Vin Diesel, who played the main role in all the films about Riddick.

Kratos from the God of War series

Kratos is one of the most brutal video game heroes in our memory. Moreover, his appearance perfectly matches his cruel nature — tall, athletic figure, red and white tattoos all over his body and complete lack of hair. We are so used to this design of the God of War that any hairstyle on his head seems alien.

We wrote about the first part of God of War in our article, which is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the series.

Wilhelm Strasse (General Skull) from the Wolfenstein series

Charismatic villains can also be bald. For example, scientist Wilhelm Strasse experimented with advanced technologies and living people, which allowed him to create an entire army of biorobots. He appeared as an antagonist in three installments of the series — Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Wolfenstein (2009) and Wolfenstein: The New Order. In the latter game, Skull Face personally fought BJ Blazkowicz, but was defeated.

Heavy from Team Fortress 2

In the team shooter Team Fortress 2, Mikhail is the embodiment of brute force. He has a huge amount of health and a multi-barreled machine gun as his primary weapon. Dealing with him in open combat is not easy. It remains to rely on snipers who can neutralize a fighter from a long distance, and spies who can sneak up on him from behind. Therefore, it is important for a slow machine gunner to provide cover for the fighters on command and the help of a medic.

Quan Chi from the Mortal Kombat series

Some Mortal Kombat characters debuted not in games, but in animated series based on them. For example, the necromancer Quan Chi first appeared in the animated show Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm. He played an important role in the new chronology, which started in 2011 with the release of the ninth part of the series. It was he who tricked Scorpion into fighting on Shao Kahn's side, resurrected Queen Sindel, and brought all the fallen warriors of Earthrealm back to life as revenant puppets. Even the death of the emperor at the hands of Raiden did not affect his plans, because he served not the ruler of Outworld, but the fallen god Shinnok, who was preparing a large-scale invasion from the Netherrealm.

Sergeant Tarkus from Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2

While working with the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Relic's writers added a number of their own ideas to the original lore. For example, thanks to them, a new Order called the Blood Ravens appeared in this dark universe. And in Dawn of War 2 we meet a squad of space marines led by Sergeant Tarkus. In the Chaos Rising add-on, due to your actions, he can go over to the side of Chaos. But in the canonical ending, this did not happen — the fighter remained loyal to the Emperor.

Kane from the Command & Conquer series

The Nod organization in the Tiberium parts of the C&C series is a completely faceless enemy. It is Kane who gives its actions meaning and a sense of great purpose. The charisma of the brotherhood leader was given to him by actor Joe Kucan (Joseph David Kucan). He also directed the live-action videos in the early Command & Conquer.

8-Ball from the GTA series

It is curious that in the official localization from 1C this character was called Bald. "8-Ball" is also a nickname, because his real name remains unknown. He was involved in various illegal businesses and was associated with the Liberty City mafia. In 2001, the guy was arrested on charges of illegal possession of weapons, but by a lucky chance he managed to escape along with Claude. Later, he introduced the main character of GTA 3 to representatives of the Leone family and planted a bomb on a Colombian cartel ship. There is a theory that it was he who mined the car where Claude was supposed to get into during the last mission on Salvatore. Whether this is true or not remains unknown, but 8-Ball never appeared in the story again.

Besides GTA 3, we saw him in Liberty City Stories and GTA Advance.
