Will there be a second season of Dispatch

Dispatch proved to be one of the biggest hits of fall 2025. Players loved the superhero jokes and the ability to control a team of former villains. Many wondered: will we see a continuation of Mechaman's story? This article contains all the relevant information at this time.

AdHoc Studio has many Telltale Games alumni, and Dispatch is the team's first independent project. Their experience working on interactive series is evident in their new project—in particular, the entire story is broken up into short episodes. The game's protagonist, known as Mechaman, loses his exoskeleton and can no longer fight criminals personally. But he is offered a new job: managing a team of former villains who have decided to turn to the law. The action is spiced with cheerful humor, and the plot's development depends largely on our decisions. It's also worth noting that the protagonist is voiced by Aaron Paul, best known for his role as Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad.

Dispatch sold one million copies within 10 days of its release, and has sold two million copies at the time of writing. For a small indie project, that's an excellent result. On the Skill Up podcast The Friends Per Second, game director Nick Herman and lead writer Pierre Shorette admitted they were considering a second season. Their decision was influenced not only by excellent sales but also by positive user reviews on Steam and the PlayStation Store.

However, work on Dispatch 2 hasn't yet begun, as the developers weren't confident of its success until the release of the first game. Furthermore, AdHoc is currently working on a game based on the web series Critical Role. It will take place in the Exandria universe, which you might be familiar with from The Legend of Vox Machina.

According to an insider known as M0hawkMark, the second season will be announced on December 11th, at The Game Awards 2025. However, this information is unofficial, so take it with a grain of salt.

Currently, we have no information about a Dispatch sequel. However, screenwriter Pierre Choret shared his regrets about the cut content that players might have enjoyed. Specifically, these included racy scenes involving the main character and his girlfriends. These will likely appear in the sequel.

The developers also noted that they lacked the budget to implement some ideas. Strong sales of Dispatch will provide them with the necessary funds.
