Note that The Witcher 4 is not included in this list because CD Projekt RED representatives have explicitly stated that the game will not be released in 2026.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy
- Release date: 2026;
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series;
- Co-op: no.
The creators of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will release another game set in this universe. Dark Heresy puts you in the role of an Inquisitor who conducts investigations, uncovers conspiracies, finds Chaos cultists among the Imperium's civilians, and eliminates them. The result should be an interesting hybrid of RPG, turn-based tactics, and detective quest. Alpha testing for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is currently underway.

Mortal Shell 2
- Release date: 2026;
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X;
- Co-op: No.
The original Mortal Shell turned out to be a decent take on the Dark Souls theme. Judging by the trailers, the sequel will be more expensive and more atmospheric than the original. Its key feature is the protagonist's ability to possess the bodies of fallen warriors. This way, you gain their skills, which you can use in battle. FromSoftware is currently working on the multiplayer action RPG The Duskbloods, so fans of single-player Souls-like games might want to consider imitators like Mortal Shell 2.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
- Release date: 2026;
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series;
- Co-op: no.
This game is from the team at CD Projekt RED, who worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. It's set in a dark fantasy setting, blending real European cultures with mysticism. The main character of The Blood of Dawnwalker, Cohen, appears as an ordinary human during the day. He's weak and vulnerable, but can communicate with others and freely explore locations. At night, he becomes a powerful vampire with regenerative abilities and other bonuses. However, he also experiences a thirst for blood, is forced to fight evil spirits, and can accidentally kill an ally.

Clockwork Revolution
- Release date: 2026;
- Platforms: PC, Xbox Series;
- Co-op: no.
An action/RPG in the spirit of Bioshock from the creators of Wasteland 3, which is about time travel. Your past choices will influence the future and shape the story. Like Ken Levine's projects, Clockwork Revolution will explore political and social themes.

Norse: Oath of Blood
- Release date: February 3, 2026;
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series;

A genre hybrid set in Medieval Norway. You'll develop your settlement, craft weapons and armor, build relationships with neighbors, and engage in combat with enemies. Esoteric Ebb
- Release date: Q1 2026;
- Platforms: PC;
- Co-op: no.
An isometric RPG that has already been called a fantasy version of Disco Elysium. Like the cult classic ZA/UM, in Esoteric Ebb you can achieve your goals in dozens of different ways. However, here you have not only verbal arguments at your disposal, but also magic, as well as the ability to resolve issues by force.
Lords of the Fallen 2
- Release date: 2026;
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series;
- Co-op: no.
The first Lords of the Fallen had an interesting story. It's a case of a game getting a second version, expanded and reworked, nine years after its release. The result is a solid Souls-like without any revelations. The trailers for the second part look expensive and spectacular. We hope that Lords of the Fallen 2 will be of the same standard. The developers are clearly playing to Dark Souls fans and promise truly challenging combat.
Gothic 1 Remake
- Release date: Q1 2026;
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series;
- Co-op: no.
Although the original Gothic was released in 2001, it remains unique. Its mechanics are sometimes attempted to be replicated — a notable example is the recent Of Ash and Steel. However, in the eyes of many RPG fans, Gothic remains unrivaled. The remake will not only improve the graphics but also introduce changes to the gameplay. The developers of Gothic 1 Remake promise to improve the interface and controls, expand the storyline, and add additional quests.
Scribe RPG
- Release date: 2026;
- Platforms: PC;
- Co-op: no.
A curious combination of role-playing, action, platforming, and questing. Your task as a scribe is to study information about the world, its past and present. Along the way, in this Scribe RPG, you'll have to solve the problems of ordinary people and fend off enemies. According to imperial law, your activities are considered criminal, so you must hide them from government agents.
Solasta 2
- Release date: March 12, 2026;
- Platforms: PC;
- Co-op: no.
A tactical turn-based RPG that brings the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop experience to video game form. You'll explore a vast open world, battle monsters, and try to stop the cruel witch Shadvin, who leads dark forces and is trying to destroy the lands of Neokos. A good option for those who've completed Baldur's Gate 3 and are looking forward to more similar games. It's worth noting that Solasta 2 will be released in Early Access in 2026.
