The second month of spring delighted cosplay fans with vibrant portrayals of characters from their favorite video games, anime, and TV series. The cosplayers impressed us with the high level of detail in their costumes, their skillful transformations, and their atmospheric photo shoots. This selection features characters from the Resident Evil series, NieR: Automata, and the highly acclaimed Dispatch. Among the rare characters, we can highlight Callisto from the series about Xena and Kurisu Makise from Steins;Gate.
Grace Ashcroft from Resident Evil Requiem by Tniwe
In our review of Resident Evil Requiem, we discussed the game’s pros and cons. Among the game’s strengths is its skillful use of classic techniques familiar from earlier installments in the series. Moreover, Requiem is selling exceptionally well—at the time of writing, horror fans have already purchased more than 7 million copies. And that’s clearly not the limit. If you like the genre, check out our selection of the best horror games of all time—the top scary games for PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Frieren from the anime "Frieren: The Final Farewell" by Shirogane-sama
Frieren: The Last Journey (Sousou no Frieren) is a fantasy manga that has been adapted into an anime series. It stands out from other works in the genre by focusing on lengthy dialogues and emotional scenes rather than fast-paced action. Judging by the ratings, many viewers enjoyed this unhurried storytelling. The main character of the story was brought to life by Shirogane-sama.

Starlight from The Boys by Lada Lumos
The fifth season of The Boys will be the final one. Our website features an article about The Boys Season 5 Finale: who will survive, how it will end, and who the real villain is. However, the future of the series’ universe remains uncertain. The continuation of the spin-off Gen V has been canceled, with only a prequel about Soldier Boy and Stormfront planned. It will be titled Vought Rising. Lada Lumos cosplayed Starlight, one of the key heroines of the entire story.

2B from NieR: Automata by Sai Westwood
Judging by one of Square Enix’s official trailers, NieR: Automata will have a direct sequel. We hope that Yoko Taro, the screenwriter of the Drakengard series—which includes both NieR games—is working on it. It is known that he is currently working on the sequel to the anime series Evangelion. He really does create interesting stories. It’s no surprise that NieR: Automata made it onto the list of the best games with a good storyline on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox. The character of the android girl 2B was brought to life by Sai Westwood.

Xena and Callisto from the TV series Xena: Warrior Princess by Asami Gate and Lera Himera
Xena: Warrior Princess is a spin-off of the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, which aired from 1996 to 2001. In the 2010s, there were plans to reboot it, but the idea was ultimately scrapped. According to actress Lucy Lawless, who played Xena, all the proposed versions were far inferior to the original. If you’re interested in the legends of Hellas, check out our selection of the best games about Ancient Greece and Greek mythology — for PC, PS5, and Xbox. The Zen action game didn’t make the cut, as it wasn’t a standout title at the time of its release and has become noticeably outdated over the years. Asami Gate cosplayed as the Queen of Warriors. And Lera Himera portrayed Callisto, her main rival.

Ada Wong from Remake of Resident Evil 4 by Hologana
Over the past seven years, Capcom has released remakes of the second, third, and fourth installments in the Resident Evil series. Technically, the original 1996 game has received two remakes, but by now they’ve become outdated. Fans are now speculating which title will be remade next. In addition to the obvious candidates—the first and fifth installments—insiders are mentioning Code: Veronica, a somewhat forgotten spin-off that contains a lot of important plot information. The Ada Wong cosplay was created by Hologana.

Repentia from Warhammer 40,000 by Vasiliel
In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Sisters of Battle are a key unit of the Imperium that fights against heretics. Notable video games featuring them include the Soulstorm expansion for the first Dawn of War, the recent Rogue Trader, and the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. A girl who goes by the nickname Vasiliel has cosplayed as Repentia, a member of the Adeptus Sororitas who felt the touch of heresy. To atone for her sin, she throws herself into the thick of battle without armor or heavy weapons, armed only with a chain sword.

Ani, the virtual assistant powered by the Grok neural network, by Rika Ririka
In our article about Ani, we noted that the appearance of this virtual assistant from Elon Musk’s Grok neural network caused a stir among users. Her design is clearly inspired by Misa Amane from the anime series Death Note. She is flirty and cute, can hold a conversation on any topic, and will even start dancing if you ask her to. Rika Ririka cosplayed as her.

Malevola from Dispatch by KamikoZero
Dispatch won three awards at the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards. This is an excellent result, especially considering that this is an original project rather than part of a well-known series. Players have also embraced it—sales have exceeded 4 million copies. You can learn about all the game’s merits at our review of Dispatch. Today, many are waiting for the second part and hoping that there will be a chance for a romance with Malevola. VGTimes has an article discussing whether there will be a second season of Dispatch. The image of the red-skinned demoness was brought to life by KamikoZero.

Kurisu Makise from Steins;Gate by Komori
Some well-known media franchises—which have spawned anime, manga, and collectible merchandise—are based on successful video games. And Pokémon is far from the only example of this. Another example is Steins;Gate, a 2009 visual novel for the Xbox 360, which inspired an animated series, a novel, and a graphic novel. The character of the main heroine, Kurisu Makise, was brought to life by Komori. If you're interested in games in this genre, check out our selection of the best games for girls.

Selena Corrie from Resident Evil: Requiem by Ilona Bugaeva
I’d like to wrap up this selection with one more piece inspired by Resident Evil: Requiem. Ilona Bugaeva, also known as Sladkoslava, created a cosplay of Selena Corrie. Players liked this zombie girl so much that many didn’t even want to kill her while playing through the game. She’s memorable for her singing ability—in fact, her scream can deafen Grace Ashcroft.
