Amid the recent controversy surrounding the removal of adult games from Steam and itch.io, GOG has stepped in to support mature content. For the next 48 hours, users can claim 13 NSFW titles for free — including the cult hit Postal 2.

In July, both Valve and itch.io were forced to take down a number of 18+ games following pressure from payment processors Visa and Mastercard. Reportedly, the move was triggered by complaints from the feminist organization Collective Shout.

As an archival platform dedicated to protecting gaming history, we believe that if a game is legal and responsibly made, players should be able to enjoy it today – and decades from now. With the launch of FreedomToBuy.games, we're taking a stand against the quiet erasure of creative works from digital shelves.

Until August 3, GOG users can visit this link to claim the following titles:

  • Leap of Love;
  • Being a DIK — Season 1;
  • Leap of Faith;
  • Postal 2;
  • House Party;
  • HuniePop;
  • Lust Theory;
  • Agony + Agony Unrated;
  • Treasure of Nadia;
  • Summer's Gone — Season 1;
  • Fetish Locator Week One;
  • Helping the Hotties;
  • Sapphire Safari.

Note: A GOG account is required to redeem the games. Interestingly, Mastercard has since denied Valve's claims that it forced Steam to remove NSFW content.
