Heroes of the Storm - an alternative to the much-loved DotA from Blizzard. Having assessed the success of Dota 2, “Metelitsa” decided to create her own MOBA and rake in money from it. Actually, for this, the guys have several game worlds, characters, and a head on their shoulders. All this allowed them to create a good game and, perhaps, a competitor to MOBA games that had already gained popularity.
At the same time, HotS is noticeably different from LoL and Dota 2. There are no artifacts here, the team has a common level, even leveling up differs from the usual bonuses to abilities. It is also necessary to note the variety of maps, and, therefore, game tasks in the game. Of course, the most important thing is to destroy the enemy's main building, but Blizzard offers players additional tasks to gain an advantage: pay a pirate to shell the enemy base, capture ancient temples, etc.
All this adds dynamics to the usual game plan of MOBA games: you will no longer stand on a line for 15 minutes and collect some artifacts to win - you need to fight, kill and capture.
