The Middle Ages or Medieval period is an important era in history, often featured in various games: mainly RPGs and strategies. In those times, people fought with swords and bows, lived in huge stone castles, organized large-scale tournaments, and went into battle in the name of their king.
In medieval games, players are given the opportunity to either take on the role of an individual warrior or a commander who can give orders to an entire army. Alongside regular warriors, medieval machinery also goes into battle: trebuchets, ballistae, catapults, and battering rams.
