The game is a phenomenon that has fallen in love with millions of players (read schoolchildren) from all over the world due to its simplicity, fun and, of course, freeness, and which has brought its owners tens (if not hundreds) of millions of dollars in profit.
At the same time, Fortnite has become a curse not only for its developers, who are now forced to work like horses 80 hours a week and live without vacations and sick leave, but also for the entire industry as a whole, since by its example it has finally shifted the emphasis of many companies - developers towards multiplayer projects, showing that a simple battle royale with hats and skins is much more profitable than a high-quality single-player project.
And it's sad.
