This is a wonderful simulator! At the time of its release it was one of the best F1 simulators. GP4 is second only to F1 Challenge 99-02 from EA Sports in its physical model; it is its main long-term competitor.
Everything else in GP4 is better:
+ Better artificial intelligence, here the AI can use your slipstream when you leave the ideal trajectory. The AI is able to competently defend its position by moving in front of you and slamming the gate or trying to throw you off its air bag. When I discovered all this, I gained respect for the developers.
+ Excellent implementation of weather conditions.
+ Nice graphics.
+ Many mods with F1 seasons of very good quality.
+ There is a built-in tutorial on setting up the car.
Of the minuses:
