The gameplay has been improved compared to Lego Lord of the Rings. The open world has become more diverse. The atmosphere and music are good. Tolkien's universe is conveyed well. The plot concerns 2 Hobbit films.

The best, at least at the time of release, of the LEGO series games, in my opinion.

However, it also has its drawbacks. The first is all the remaining problems with control, movement, getting stuck, etc. (although I won’t deny that I’m simply not used to playing with a gamepad, which could also be the reason). Too often I fell from some height, bridge, etc., only because stupid AI allies were crowded nearby, or the character decided to jump in the wrong place. But oh well. The second of the minuses is the lack of variety among the gnomes, for whom you have to spend overwhelming hours.
