As always, Remedy is a gorgeous linear story game
PROS:
Excellent storytelling. Getting stuck in endless emails may be an acquired taste, but there is no idle chatter, everything works to reveal the plot. Be prepared to read and listen a lot.
Despite the plot emphasis, the shooter mechanics are also excellent. The main character is given several abilities. Each has its own “mana” bar, and this simple solution makes the skirmishes here so exciting, allowing you to combine abilities on the go as you wish without worrying about running out of mana. Also, there can be no question of endless sitting behind covers in the Gears style, since the enemies here may not be the smartest, but they actively use grenades and come in from behind. It turns out no less furious than in Max Peinach.
CONS:
Poor optimization. There will be brakes even on the GTX1080. And the most interesting thing is that the game feels jerky even if the frame rate is limited to 60 fps and does not decrease either on the street or in firefights. The Remedy engine is clearly groaning as it processes colorful, abstract time anomalies.
