World of Warcraft will get a mode for arachnophobes
After 20 years, World of Warcraft will add a mode for players suffering from arachnophobia. The update will be released along with the War Within expansion, which will introduce the Nerubian race to the game.
The reason for this decision was the image of the Nerubians — according to the lore, representatives of this people look like spider-like people. According to Blizzard, the gaming community reacted controversially to their image.
The new mode will transform all arachnids and spiders on the map into crab-like creatures. According to the developers, this will not affect hitboxes and attack animations. In addition, the mode will not be exclusive to the add-on — all players will receive it, regardless of whether they purchased the DLC.
Let us remind you that the release of War Within is scheduled for late summer — early autumn of this year.
