Online Helldivers 2 on Steam lost 90% of players
One of the most popular games on Steam is losing ground — Helldivers 2 has lost up to 90% of its players. Now the peak online is just over 42,000 gamers.
After a successful launch, the multiplayer shooter from Arrowhead Studios set its own online record of 458,000 players and burst into the Steam charts, overtaking the then popular Palworld. However, month after month, players gradually lost interest in the project, and Sony's unsuccessful decisions to cancel sales in dozens of countries did not improve the situation. Judging by SteamDB, online activity picked up at some point with a recent update, but now its peak does not exceed 42,000 people. This is 90% less compared to previous figures.
Recently, the head of Arrowhead announced that Helldivers 2 will not have a story mode.
