A platformer in the spirit of Dark Souls and Cuphead has appeared on Steam

An unusual action platformer Toonsouls, reminiscent of a mix of Dark Souls and Cuphead, is being prepared for release in early access. Players in the guise of a knight will have to fight off cartoonish enemies.

The project was clearly heavily inspired by the hardcore project from StudioMDHR Entertainment and is made in the same style. The gameplay differences are also small, but Toonsouls involves random generation of levels, so players will find an element of surprise. So far, the game has a limited set of enemies and environments and only six levels, but the developers promise to add more content.
