Insider: «Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake will be released sooner than you think»
Reliable insider and gaming journalist Tom Henderson shared with readers information about the approximate release date of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake. According to him, Ubisoft plans to release about 10 games from the AC series within five years.
The insider claims that the studio initially intended to release the Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake in November 2025. The project was developed under the code name Obsidian on the updated Anvil engine.
However, the plans were ruined by the postponement of Assassin's Creed: Shadows, which was supposed to be released this fall. This decision affected the entire roadmap of the studio — Ubisoft was going to release about 10 games in the AC universe within five years, but the dates had to be shifted. These include the mobile Assassin's Creed Jade about China, whose release is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.
However, Tom Henderson claims that the Black Flag remake will be released quite soon. The project is still in development, but the journalist has already received the first gameplay recording, in which Edward Kenway controls the ship.
It recently became known that the Chinese company Tencent may indeed buy out the Ubisoft studio.
