Ultra Games HK is developing a life simulator for PC called Paradise, which is being described as a mix of GTA and The Sims. The developers have already released several videos showcasing gameplay footage.
According to the creators, the game promises «endless possibilities,» including shootouts, car chases, multiplayer, daily quests, and the ability to interact with NPCs based on advanced artificial intelligence.
«In PARADISE, we have recreated an entire island nation with every attribute of the real world, ranging from cityscapes with skyscrapers and bustling urban areas to serene oceans, beaches, and lush tropical forests», — the description reads.
Additionally, it has been revealed that the project includes in-game purchases and the ability to earn PAR crypto tokens, which are also available through a Telegram app (Paradise Tap).
YouTuber Jetro conducted a small investigation into this project and concluded that Paradise is a scam. According to him, the clips in the released videos are borrowed from other games and Unreal Engine libraries. Moreover, the project's website initially listed influential advertising partners who, it turned out, had never heard of Paradise.
The YouTuber also checked the address of Ultra Games HK's office in Hong Kong but found that no one there knew anything about this company. He suggests that the creators of Paradise aim to draw attention to the cryptocurrency, which they will later use for personal enrichment. Furthermore, there is no official information on whether PAR will be listed on exchanges, so there is a chance that this token might never be listed at all.
He also mentioned that even if the project does get released, the built-in anti-cheat system indicated on the game's page could give developers access to users' PCs, potentially threatening the security of their files and personal data.
Regardless, Paradise can already be added to your wishlist on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
