Capcom Removes Denuvo From PC Version of Monster Hunter Stories
Capcom has removed Denuvo protection from another of its games, the remaster of Monster Hunter Stories. A little over six months have passed since its release.
According to SteamDB, instead of Denuvo, the project is now protected by Enigma Protector. The latter brings players quite a lot of problems, but is less resistant to hacking. Nevertheless, Capcom continues to add it to its games, removing the previous protection system.
As for Monster Hunter Stories, the remaster received an 89% rating on Steam and hundreds of positive reviews. Let us recall that the spin-off to the main series of action games was initially released in 2016 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS, but in 2024 a re-release for PC was released.
Earlier, two games were leaked online at once, in which Denuvo was present. They were Assassin's Creed Mirage and the action game Dragon's Dogma 2 — hackers got their hands on versions of the game without protection.
