Free tech demo in the spirit of The Witcher on the Unreal Engine 5 engine has been released
The Scans Factory development team, which previously made a realistic tech demo of Rome Italian Town, has shown its new work. This time they demonstrated how the locations in the future The Witcher 4 on Unreal Engine 5 might look.
The enthusiasts recreated a village on the edge of the forest, typical for The Witcher 3, on the latest version of the 5.4 engine. It turned out to be very photorealistic and detailed — the settlement was filled with many small details, which you can spend half an hour studying. The only thing missing is an NPC. The demo also has several lighting settings — you can choose a cloudy or sunny day.
The tech demo is distributed on PC absolutely free of charge. The developers have released two builds — UE 5.4 and with DLSS, which can be downloaded here.
Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED announced the start of active development and shared the first art — fans are already building theories.
