The Witcher 4 Cinematic Scene Will Be One of the Game's Quests
The first cinematic of The Witcher 4 is being analyzed not only by fans, but also by the developers from CD Projekt RED. The studio released a video in which the game's director Sebastian Kalemba shared some details that players missed.
For example, Ciri is not just slow to appear when the girl chosen as a victim summons Bauk near the lair. According to the developer, the witcher deliberately dragged out time so that the monster would react to the villager's voice.
The silver chain also did not appear by chance. In a similar way, CD Projekt RED paid tribute to the first The Witcher. Geralt used exactly the same chain in the fight with Adda, who had been turned into a striga, in the game's introductory video.
However, if Geralt got his way and saved the cursed princess, then Ciri did not achieve justice with the murder of Bauk. At the end of the trailer, the witcher returns to the village with the head of the monster to see a dying girl, stabbed to death by her fellow villagers out of fear. With this closing scene, CDPR once again emphasized that the true evil in the world of The Witcher is not the monsters at all, but the people themselves. However, the director consoled the players — The Witcher 4 will have a quest with Bauk, in which you can save the girl from the trailer.
Earlier, the developers answered a number of other questions about the trailer and confirmed the appearance of Geralt in the fourth game.
