Sony Makes PSN Account Optional for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, and More PC Games

The publisher, Sony, is gradually abandoning the linking of a Steam account to the PlayStation Network service. Recall that last year the company required PC gamers to register with PSN to launch games.
In its official blog, Sony announced that the PC versions of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, and God of War: Ragnarok will no longer require a PlayStation Network account. Apparently, the company took into account the discontent of players — many projects were previously removed from sale in dozens of countries where the service is not supported. Most likely, a PSN account will become optional for future games from Sony studios.
The publisher has also changed its approach to attracting an audience. Now, for registering on PlayStation Network, gamers will receive in-game bonuses such as exclusive costumes in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the Armor of the Black Bear set in God of War: Ragnarok, and other nice little things.
Recall that Sony previously returned the Steam version of Helldivers 2 to sales in more than 20 countries. The game was previously removed amid a scandal that arose after the publisher demanded mandatory registration on PlayStation Network for PC gamers.
