Assassin's Creed: Shadows Has Once Again Caused Heated Debates Among Players

There is no doubt that Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be one of the most controversial releases from Ubisoft. Regardless of the quality of the gameplay, plot or characters, the project has already divided the gaming community into two camps.

This time, a fragment of one of the playthroughs during the game's preview went viral online. Blogger Skatha, who received access to the game from Ubisoft, demonstrated the first 50 minutes of gameplay for Yasuke and Naoe, but some viewers were attracted by another moment. A YouTuber from Japan with the nickname shoheikondo saw disrespect for the country's culture and religion in the game. And all because of a fragment in which the author of the playthrough destroyed a Japanese temple.

In a couple of days, the post has already collected more than 23 million views. The opinions of users were divided: some supported the author of the publication, while others rightly noted that players were going too far in their hatred of a project that had not even been released.

By the way, in the old parts of the series, religion was already encroached upon: for example, in Assassin's Creed 2, you had to fight to the death with the Pope himself.

The release of Assassin's Creed: Shadows is scheduled for March 20 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

Recently, the developers of the stealth action game about Japan were caught in another mistake. This time, attentive users found the "wrong" watermelons.
