Recently, Warhorse Studios creative director Daniel Vávra said that the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 cost 10 times less than Death Stranding. Now he has shared the exact figures.
In an interview with the Czech portal Seznam Zpravy, the game designer said that they spent about a billion crowns or more than $41 million on the game. For comparison, the development of the base game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt required $81 million.
By the way, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 paid for itself on the first day, as the developers said. The game sold a million copies in just one day. According to the latest SteamDB data, the maximum number of players was 233,586 people.
