Former PlayStation Head Reviews Nintendo Presentation and Highlights a Game That Caught His Attention

Former PlayStation president Shuhei Yoshida also tuned in to the Nintendo Direct presentation, where details about the Switch 2 console were unveiled. Right after the show, he shared his thoughts on what he saw.
He admitted that the show seemed a bit dull to him until the announcement of a new game from FromSoftware — The Duskbloods. Prior to that, he would have rated the presentation a 6 out of 10, but with FromSoftware's reveal, his score rose to 7.
He noted that he expected more new announcements rather than just remakes and ports. However, he was impressed by the social features of the Switch 2, including the ability to see how others are playing, even if it's a different game, as well as the camera and game-related features associated with it.
The educational game Welcome Tour, in his opinion, "looks cute," but he hopes it will be affordable.
Regarding the console's price, Yoshida mentioned that in the U.S., it was higher than he expected ($450), but added that "everything has gotten more expensive." However, the price in Japan — around ¥50,000 (approximately $340) — surprised him with its affordability, especially considering the exchange rate. "Everybody should go to Japan and buy it!" he joked.
