Death Stranding Movie to Be Directed by A Quiet Place: Day One Director

According to Deadline, the Death Stranding adaptation will be directed by Michael Sarnoski, known for the films A Quiet Place: Day One and Pig with Nicolas Cage. The film will be produced by A24 and Kojima Productions.

Recall that the Death Stranding film was first discussed in 2022. Game designer Hideo Kojima immediately took the producer's seat, and in 2023 it became known that the film would be released by A24, the studio responsible for the Oscar-winning film Everything Everywhere All at Once.

The details of the film are still being kept secret, and the cast has not been selected either. The Death Stranding film adaptation also does not have a premiere date, as well as a start date for filming. It is known that the script will be written by Michael Sarnoski.

Meanwhile, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is preparing for release — the sequel will be released on June 26 exclusively on PlayStation 5. Kojima Productions also showed a new trailer and opened pre-orders for the game, including a collector's edition. As for game adaptations, Minecraft: The Movie has recently started to be released — our review is here.
