New Gothic 1 Remake Footage Shows Lockpicking, Swamp Camp, and Orc Rituals

The creators of Gothic 1 Remake have released the second trailer for the Making Of film about the development of the project. Viewers were shown several new shots from the game, including scenes from the life of orcs and a hacking system.

In the video, Alkimia Interactive promised to return the cut content from the original and fix the plot holes and logical inconsistencies that were in the classic Gothic. In the meantime, players can watch how the Nameless Hero will pick locks — if in the original you had to remember the sequence, then the remake will offer a more complex system. The first look at the life of the orcs is also in place — the trailer showed orc shamans, temples and ritual dances. The Swamp Camp and other familiar places also flashed.

The release of Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for this year for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.

Let's recall that a demo version of the remake was recently released on Steam, where players were able to visit the Valley of Mines as Niras, another inhabitant of the colony. We also tried out the classic in a new wrapper and shared our impressions.
