Palpatine, Mace Windu, and Sith Jar Jar Binks Are Coming to Fortnite with the New Battle Royale Season

The Star Wars Celebration 2025 festival is in full swing — and a new Fortnite and Star Wars collaboration has been officially announced. This time, Emperor Palpatine, Mace Windu, and even a Sith version of Jar Jar Binks are joining the battle royale.

The new season, Galactic Battle, launches in Fortnite on May 2. The event will feature five chapters, released weekly through early June — each introducing brand-new gameplay mechanics, including an assault on the Death Star. Players can look forward to a battle pass with characters from the trailer, themed maps, the ability to pilot X-wings and TIE Fighters, and much more.

As a reminder, EA recently unveiled the first trailer for Star Wars: Zero Company, a turn-based strategy game from the co-creators of XCOM and Civilization. Meanwhile, Fortnite also recently added Kitana and Scorpion skins from Mortal Kombat to the battle royale.
