Remedy Announces Exact Release Date for FBC: Firebreak — A Control Spin-off

Remedy Entertainment has announced the release date for its new co-op game, FBC: Firebreak, which will launch on June 17, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). The game will be available from day one for subscribers of PC Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, as well as PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.

In addition to the standard edition, the developers will release a Deluxe Edition, which includes various in-game bonuses such as skins, an armor set, and voice packs.

FBC: Firebreak is a three-player co-op shooter where players battle unusual enemies using even stranger weapons — like a slime-shooting machine gun, a gnome-shaped RPG, or an electric gun that lifts you into the air. The storyline involves players tackling chaos in the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), including bizarre threats like sticky notes that endanger reality.

Remedy, known for Alan Wake 2 and Control, decided to focus on key projects after canceling Project Kestrel in 2024. Among these are Control 2, remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2, and, of course, FBC: Firebreak, which was first revealed in October 2024. The first gameplay trailer was showcased in March at the Future Games Show.

Previously, the developers stated that they classify FBC: Firebreak as an AA title and explained the main difference from AAA games.
