Insider Daniel "DanielRPK" Richtman reports that Naughty Dog has scrapped another game in development. As the source is not considered the most reliable, this information should be taken as a rumor.
The canceled title was reportedly a single-player project led by game director Vinit Agarwal, known for his work on The Last of Us: Part 2 and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Development began after the studio shut down The Last of Us Online in 2023. However, Agarwal left Naughty Dog in January to join Santa Monica Studio. According to Richtman, the unannounced project was canceled around three months ago.
As a reminder, The Last of Us Online was canceled due to limited resources, with Naughty Dog shifting focus to a new title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. DanielRPK also recently claimed the studio may be working on another game helmed by the director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
