Recently, Larian Studios changed the tag on its official social media account, which led some fans to believe a new installment in the Divinity series was in the works. The studio, however, was quick to shut down rumors of a possible announcement.

Earlier this week, Larian’s account changed its usual handle to @Divinity. Fans of the franchise, which last saw a release with Divinity: Original Sin 2, interpreted this as a sign of a sequel. However, this assumption turned out to be incorrect. According to Larian’s publishing director Michael Douse, the name change was simply part of a process to confirm ownership over the studio’s intellectual properties — not a teaser for a new game.

When asked about future plans for new titles, Douse gave a vague but intriguing response: "Many pots on the stove. We'll see where the cooking takes us and when."

Recently, Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke also confirmed the team is currently working on two ambitious new projects. When the next game will launch following Baldur's Gate 3 remains unknown.
