Renowned Japanese game designer Hideki Kamiya, known for leading the development of Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry, has expressed interest in bringing back the long-dormant Dino Crisis franchise. Fans of the series—which is famous for its blend of survival, puzzles, and dinosaurs—have been waiting over 20 years for a new entry.
During an interview on the YouTube show The MinnMax Show, Hideki Kamiya said he would love to work on a new Dino Crisis game, though he has no plans to return to Resident Evil. His statement sparked a lot of excitement, as Kamiya is a legendary developer behind titles like Okami and Bayonetta.
Capcom is aware of Dino Crisis’s popularity among fans, as seen through surveys and the addition of the original game to the PS Plus Premium catalog. Currently, Kamiya is busy working on a sequel to Okami.
Previously, we reported on a fan-made remake of Dino Crisis 2 built in Unreal Engine 5.
