CD Projekt RED has announced that it will unveil new technologies powering The Witcher 4 during the State of Unreal 2025 event. The studio shared the news on social media platform X.
The showcase is scheduled for June 3 at 9:30 AM ET (3:30 PM CEST). The event will take place in Orlando and will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch. This year, State of Unreal is being held as part of the Unreal Festival for the first time, which could hint at some special announcements.
CD Projekt RED promises to demonstrate innovative technologies and features that will form the foundation of The Witcher 4 and future projects. The game was officially announced at The Game Awards 2024, where it was confirmed that Ciri will be the new main protagonist. Since then, only a few rumors have surfaced — for example, about the size of the map and the romance system.
It was also revealed that The Witcher 3 will receive a final patch adding cross-platform mod support, and CDPR is hiring additional developers to work on The Witcher 4 and the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
