Blogger GameRoll, who previously leaked the real names of Jason and Lucia ahead of the official announcement, has shared a new post outlining possible details about Grand Theft Auto 6. It's important to note that all the information below is still considered a rumor, as the insider himself has warned.
According to GameRoll’s sources, GTA 6 may include the following features:
- A maximum six-star wanted level;
- A relationship system reminiscent of the honor mechanic from Red Dead Redemption 2;
- Underwater secret locations with hidden stashes;
- The ability to greet or antagonize NPCs, similar to RDR2;
- Jason will have a “Dead Eye”-like ability, allowing him to slow down time and target enemy weak points. Lucia will have a similar ability, but it’s limited to a single shot due to her lesser firearm skills;
- NPCs will react to visible weapons;
- GTA 6 will reportedly offer the best driving mechanics in the series;
- The map will once again be divided into islands;
- A dismemberment system adapted from Red Dead Redemption 2;
- The official trailer reportedly shows footage only from the first three of five total chapters;
- Fully nude sexual scenes and a Disneyland parody have allegedly been cut from the game;
- Music and radio turn off when the player exits a vehicle.
Previously, GameRoll also shared another batch of potential details, including claims that the game world will feature over 700 interactive retail locations. However, he later clarified that many of these may simply be vending machines.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on May 26, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. In May, Take-Two Interactive revealed the game’s substantial budget. Our breakdown of the second trailer can be read here.
