It’s been quite some time since Marvel's Wolverine was first announced back in 2021, and Insomniac Games still hasn’t shared any updates. Fans of the iconic mutant are growing increasingly concerned that the studio may be planning to quietly cancel the action title.

Many were expecting a gameplay reveal at Summer Game Fest 2025 or the recent State of Play, but Insomniac Games was absent from both events. According to 2024 leaks, the studio already has playable builds of the game. Frustrated gamers are now accusing the developers of having silently shelved the project.

Yo, so… any updates on Wolverine? Is the game even still in development?

So no Wolverine news, that’s just disappointing. I absolutely love with all of my heart and soul Spider-Man/Miles/Spider-Man 2 and i think we all understand the problems u guys had with the attack and everything else but a range of time of when we’re getting some news would be.

Will you show Wolverine when we forget the game and lose our enthusiasm?

Please, please just tell us it’s still being made. I need to know. And if Wolverine is canceled, please just tell us.

Marvel’s Wolverine is still planned as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Fans have been persistently trying to get any information out of Insomniac Games, but the studio remains silent. In April, players finally got a brief response from the community manager, who irritably said they would share news about the game when they’re ready.
