Despite the release of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, the team behind the fan-made remake Skyblivion isn’t slowing down. This time, the developers have revealed how immersive lighting will look in the game.
The creators showcased footage of an Ayleid dungeon rendered in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim engine, demonstrating both daytime and nighttime environments. The interiors have been completely reworked, with skylights added to the ceilings to simulate natural sunlight. The lighting intensity dynamically changes based on the time of day.
Skylights that reflect the current time and conditions of the world are just one way in which we're working to make Skyblivion more immersive.
As a reminder, the fan remake is scheduled for release later this year on PC. The mod will be available on GOG and will even feature a dedicated launcher for easier installation.
