Resident Evil Re:Verse Officially Shuts Down

Capcom has officially pulled the plug on Resident Evil Re:Verse servers, following a shutdown notice issued earlier in February. The multiplayer title lasted just three years and ultimately failed to attract a substantial player base.
Console players shared their final in-game moments as the servers went offline. Resident Evil Re:Verse allowed users to battle each other as iconic characters from the RE universe, including Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, and Leon Kennedy. However, the gameplay failed to resonate, and the limited player base often criticized the game’s unstable online experience. In early 2025, Capcom removed the game from sale.
Meanwhile, new details and gameplay footage have emerged from the upcoming Resident Evil: Requiem. Capcom also showcased an early prototype — an online open-world shooter with loot mechanics that never made it to release.
