Stardew Valley Overtakes Portal 2 as the Highest-Rated Game on Steam

The rankings of the highest-rated games on Steam have recently been updated, and a new title has claimed the top spot. Stardew Valley, the beloved farming simulator, has officially surpassed Valve’s Portal 2 to become the platform’s most highly rated game by user reviews.

According to data from Steam Top 250, the updated list places Stardew Valley at number one, followed by Portal 2. Notably, three Valve games have made it into the top 10 of the most positively reviewed titles on Steam.

It’s worth mentioning that SteamDB currently shows a slightly different ranking, where Portal 2 still holds the top position and Deltarune rounds out the top 10. These discrepancies are likely due to update delays. While both Stardew Valley and Portal 2 boast a 98% positive rating on Steam, the farming sim has amassed nearly twice as many total reviews.

Meanwhile, on the PlayStation front, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach recently became the highest-rated title on the PS Store, overtaking Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
