Activision Temporarily Disables PC Version of Call of Duty: WWII on Game Pass Due to Security Concerns

Activision has temporarily pulled the PC version of Call of Duty: WWII from the Game Pass catalog following widespread reports of serious security issues. The shooter, which was recently added to the subscription service, was found to contain an exploit that allowed hackers to remotely access players’ devices.
Numerous PC users reported being hacked mid-game while playing Call of Duty: WWII via Game Pass. The exploit appears to affect only the PC version — Xbox players remain unaffected. One user, known as wrioh75753, shared a striking example: after being eliminated in a match, a hacker managed to remotely open a text file on their computer containing an offensive message.

Some players also experienced more severe intrusions, including the installation of malware and even data theft. In response to the growing number of complaints, Activision has taken the PC version of the game offline from the Microsoft Store to "investigate the issue."
