Dark Souls 3 Remaster? FromSoftware Reportedly Working on a Mysterious Project Codenamed FMC

According to a report from MP1st, Japanese developer FromSoftware is currently working on a new multiplatform title under the codename FMC — likely a placeholder for a longer internal title.
The project is said to be in an “advanced” stage of development and already undergoing active playtesting. If everything stays on track, the game could launch as early as next year.
Interestingly, every FromSoftware project with a codename starting with the letter "F" in recent years has been tied either to the Dark Souls franchise or Armored Core. While the original leaker claimed it isn’t a new Armored Core title, Reddit users were quick to point out that the series has received spin-offs and expansions shortly after mainline entries — meaning FMC could very well be a new game set in the Armored Core universe.
Another possibility is that FMC is a Dark Souls 3 remaster, especially since the first two entries have already been re-released. This theory was previously supported by insider Shpeshal Nick last year.
As always, take all of this with a grain of salt — none of this information has been officially confirmed.
Meanwhile, FromSoftware is also working on The Duskbloods, a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
