Fan-Made GTA: San Andreas Remake Shown Running on Unreal Engine 5

YouTuber EnzoElRich YT has unveiled his fan project recreating Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004) in Unreal Engine 5. So far, the remake includes the game's intro and a few playable sections.
The creator describes his work as a full remake, not just a mod. He redesigned the user interface, upscaled textures, and rebuilt several systems and mechanics — including car repair, radio stations, healing, the weapon system, CJ's death sequence, and more. The project also uses MetaHuman, NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA Frame Generation, and the Lumen lighting system. However, the original skeletal animations were reused, which is quite noticeable:
Whether this playable demo will evolve into a larger project remains to be seen, but EnzoElRich YT has promised more similar remakes in the future.
For context, a new hint recently emerged about a possible Grand Theft Auto 4 remaster.
