Ubisoft Reveals Third-Person Mode for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora — Major Update Announced

Ubisoft has announced a major update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, set to release on December 5, 2025, in celebration of the game’s two-year anniversary. The update will introduce a highly anticipated New Game+ mode and a third-person camera view—two of the most requested features from the community.
With New Game+, players will be able to start the adventure over while keeping their inventory and skills. The update will also bring a new skill tree, improved gear, and tougher enemies.
The addition of a third-person camera could attract players who were put off by the original first-person perspective—a common criticism from those who felt the game played too much like “Far Cry in the Avatar universe.”
The update is timed to coincide with the premiere of the film Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is set for release in December. The movie’s first official poster was recently revealed.
