Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Won't Feature Multiplayer at Launch

As expected, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will not include a multiplayer mode at launch. Konami confirmed on social media that the mode will arrive sometime in the fall, though no specific date was given.

Instead of Metal Gear Online, the remake will feature a brand-new mode called Fox Hunt, which was announced during the recent Press Start event. Unlike its predecessor, the new multiplayer focuses on survival, using camouflage and other tricks to outsmart and locate opponents.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launches on August 28 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Konami also recently announced a remake of the original Silent Hill, which is being developed by Bloober Team.
