A new video has surfaced online comparing the graphics of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and PC (4K, max settings). The video was created by YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits.
The PlayStation version offers both Quality and Performance modes. Quality mode delivers higher resolution at 30 FPS, while Performance mode offers 60 FPS at a lower resolution.
Here are the main takeaways from the comparison:
- The video compares the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions, using the PC version at max settings as a benchmark. Hellblade 2 is launching on PS5 for the first time and includes a new Performance Mode, which is also coming to Xbox. This mode supports 60 FPS but lowers the resolution and some settings;
- According to the video, the graphical differences between PS5 and PC are minimal, with the main difference being rendering resolution. In Performance Mode, dynamic resolution can drop to 720p on PS5 Pro and as low as 540p on the standard PS5. The aspect ratio cannot be switched to 16:9;
- On PS5 Pro, players can choose between two upscaling methods: PSSR and TSR. TSR is slightly sharper, while PSSR provides better anti-aliasing. Both offer similar performance.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 launched in May 2024 on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and is set to release on PS5 on August 12.
