Two updates are currently in the works for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl — patches 1.5.3 and 1.6. GSC Game World’s community manager has revealed when the first update will arrive and what it will address.
According to the game’s official Discord channel, patch 1.5.3 will primarily focus on fixing NPC and mutant-related bugs. Its release is planned for next week, while update 1.6 is expected to launch in September.
Recently, GSC Game World also released a roadmap for the second half of 2025. It outlines plans to migrate the shooter to an updated version of Unreal Engine 5, improve the A-Life system, add new quests and anomalies, introduce an additional difficulty level, and more.
