GTA Vice City Gets Fan-Made Trailer in Retro VHS Action Movie Style

Polish YouTuber Zly has shared his vision of what a Grand Theft Auto: Vice City film might have looked like if it had been shot back in the 1980s. To make it feel authentic, he even added effects reminiscent of old VHS tapes.

To fully capture the atmosphere, he combined AI tools with filming techniques inspired by classic ’80s action flicks, the gritty sound design typical of that era, and other recognizable stylistic touches. The result is a surprisingly convincing "movie adaptation" trailer for Vice City — one that could easily have sat on the same video store shelf as Die Hard.
