The YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has released a graphics comparison of the newly launched Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PC, PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. The video showcases the differences in resolution, lighting, hair quality, small object detail, shadows, textures, and reflections across platforms.

Here are the key takeaways from the comparison:

  • The PC version launched with numerous issues and feels “stripped down”;
  • It’s capped at 60 FPS, with no support for ultrawide monitors or frame generation. The community managed to fix these problems on day one;
  • Graphics settings on PC are limited and confusing, making it impossible to match the lighting quality seen on consoles;
  • Shadows and reflections are more detailed on PC than on consoles;
  • Performance on a PC with an RTX 5070 is roughly on par with the PS5 Pro, highlighting poor optimization;
  • The latest patch fixed some crashes, but not all. Previously, the game could crash just from switching window modes;
  • Poor PC optimization (especially for UE5 games) has become the norm, but in this case, it feels more like developer indifference.

At the time of writing, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater holds mostly positive reviews on Steam. You can check out performance tests on various GPUs here.

Critics have also given the game very positive reviews.
