Freebie: Path of Exile 2 Is Temporarily Free on PC and Consoles

Starting today and running until September 1, players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S can play Path of Exile 2 for free. The popular Diablo-like is still in early access and recently received The Third Edict update, which introduced new content along with Act IV.
Until the date mentioned above, players will have access to all available Path of Exile 2 content, including the latest patch. The recent update expands the story campaign with three mini-acts, the Ngamakanui Archipelago, over a dozen new bosses, a sprint mechanic, new unique items, maps, events, asynchronous trading, and much more. Free Weekend access can be claimed on the game’s Steam page or via the official developer website.
Grinding Gear Games also confirmed that all progress made during the free weekend will carry over if players purchase early access or wait for the game’s full release, when it transitions to a F2P model. As a reminder, this project is a direct sequel to the first free-to-play Path of Exile, though it has faced controversial developer decisions and criticism from players — at the time of writing, its Steam rating stands at 57% based on 16.5K reviews.
