Capcom has just removed Denuvo DRM protection from yet another one of its games. This time, it’s the zombie action title Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, which launched in September 2024 and has remained uncracked ever since.
The game is a remaster of the original 2006 Dead Rising. Key features include enhanced graphics powered by the RE Engine, autosave support, full voice acting, as well as revamped controls and UI.
The project currently holds an 81% positive rating on Steam. Some users note optimization issues on certain PC builds as a downside, but overall, the game made it into our list of the best game remakes and remasters.
After the removal of Denuvo, the size of the EXE file dropped by 496.69 MB.
Previously, Capcom has removed Denuvo from Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, the Monster Hunter Stories remaster, Resident Evil Village, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, and many other titles. Typically, this happens 1–2 years after release.
