The survival horror game Cronos: The New Dawn has already received its first reviews on Steam, thanks to early access available to anyone who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition. The game currently boasts an 84% rating.
Most players have responded positively, though some users point out optimization issues as a downside. The game has also started to receive critic reviews.
You can check how many FPS the game delivers on various graphics cards—including the RTX 3060, RTX 3050, RTX 4060, and GTX 1660—here.
Recently, Cronos: The New Dawn has been compared to Dead Space, which actually served as an inspiration for Bloober Team during development.
In Cronos: The New Dawn, players find themselves in a post-apocalyptic world where retrofuturistic technology collides with the concrete landscapes of Eastern Europe. Gameplay centers on surviving the wastelands of the future, battling monsters that were once human, and using time anomalies to travel between different eras.
A standout feature is the Fusion system: if not completely destroyed, defeated enemies can merge and become even more dangerous. Collecting quantum traces from the fallen in the past affects both your character’s development and the world around you, boosting your power but also increasing mental strain.
The game requires players to strategically manage limited resources, adapt to a changing environment, and make choices that can alter both the past and the future.
