Cronos: The New Dawn has officially launched on all announced platforms, following a few days of early access for Deluxe Edition owners. Now, everyone can dive into the new project from Bloober Team regardless of edition.
Based on early impressions, players have generally received the horror title — developed by the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake — quite positively. Fans praised the atmosphere and story, though optimization and animations were noted as weak points. Critics largely agreed, with the game earning a solid 77 out of 100 on Metacritic.
Cronos: The New Dawn is available on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, where the protagonist, Traveler, searches for certain individuals to gather their essences while battling mutated victims of an unknown catastrophe. Bloober Team also included a nod to their other work: James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 can be found in one of the game’s locations. Meanwhile, players have already benchmarked the title across various GPUs, sharing performance results online.
