Gearbox Software has published a global launch map for Borderlands 4. According to the schedule, PC players will get to dive into the looter-shooter several hours earlier than console owners.
Borderlands 4 will launch on PC on September 11 at 6:00 PM CEST. Six hours later, the game will become available on consoles. In addition to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, Gearbox’s shooter will also arrive on Nintendo’s new console: the Switch 2 version is slated for release on October 3.
The new entry continues the franchise with a fresh story set on the planet Kyros. This time, the Vault Hunters will encounter the mysterious Timekeeper and face off against him while exploring a large seamless world featuring new mechanics such as a grappling hook, double jump, and climbing. Along with expanded movement freedom, the developers have promised a deep build system and a non-linear storyline.
Recently, Gearbox released another trailer spotlighting the character Harlow. Borderlands 4 has also been tested on high-end hardware — the PC version runs smoothly, but the Switch build faces serious performance issues. Everything currently known about the looter-shooter can be found in our detailed article, along with the full system requirements.
